Monica Wofford, CSP, teaches leaders to understand and improve their own leadership in using practice, skills, and desire as their three areas of focus.

What are you good at and are you confident enough to share it and claim it publicly? Remember: Confidence is Contagious!

The short answer here is YOU BET! But don’t believe it just because I said so. Try your own experiment. Have you ever had a bad day? Hehe! Sure you have and how did others treat you when you had a bad day? Did you find they were eager to be around you or ran the other direction? Did that bad day come from a lack of confidence in some area or another – likely so. What about when you had a great day? As a leader, if you walk in the office feeling invincible, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound and able to take everyone in your path with you to success, don’t they pick up on that? Sure they do and yes, some may ask you what caffeinated drink you had for breakfast, but for the most part, the ones who are also confident, will pick up on your unstoppable beliefs and energy and join you for the journey enthusiastically. Want to be an even more effective Contagious Leader, find a way to maintain that sense of internal belief in yourself, your gifts, values, and talents, and your own Contagious Confidence.

Sometimes we forget all the value we offer or we try to cover it up for fear of what others might think. Today, I’m going to ask you to do something different. What are you good at? What are you confident about? What is one thing of value that you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you provide to others? Go to our question on our Facebook company page and share your input. Here’s the link: http://www.facebook.com/contagiouscompanies. Don’t wait. Don’t second guess yourself and don’t worry for a moment about someone thinking you have too much confidence. Pffft! The only way for others to see your value and your calm confidence is for you to claim it and be clear about it yourself. This isn’t bragging, this is raising your own confident self-awareness. And that confidence and ability to lead yourself in that direction… are most certainly CONTAGIOUS!

Can’t wait to hear from you, so go to this link now: http://www.facebook.com/contagiouscompanies and tell us what you are confident about! Get your friends and colleagues to participate with you, just click on the “share” link underneath the post on the fanpage. Forward this message to them and invite them to join our Monday Moment broadcast at MondayMoment.com. The more we raise this awareness and help others to claim their own confidence, the better it will be for all of us. This is a new year and a new opportunity to look at what’s good instead of what’s bad. What we want instead of what we fear. What we can do instead of what we can’t. You ready for a great Contagiously Confident Leadership journey in 2012?

Stay Contagious!
