Good morning and Happy Monday.
I’m Monica Wofford and this is your Monday Moment with a focus on leadership plans during the holiday season.
Perhaps the stockings are hung, the elf has left his shelf and gotten into mischief, or you simply stand in awe of the many wishes, holidays, and sentiments that surround this time of year in nearly every home, region, and country. It can be a time of chaos, but it’s also a powerful time for some reflection and planning.
For your Monday Moment experience, read this full post or check out the video.
This week, consider leading the effort and engaging those you lead in what went well this year and what should you and they do different in the next one.
- What would you start doing, stop doing, and continue?
- What minor adjustments could be made that would be an enhancement?
- What should you all never do again or the team just might commit mutiny? LOL
These questions will often give you more useful data than a full-blown strategic planning process. It’s good to have a plan but actions don’t’ come from what’s recorded in a formal planning template. Actions and interest, and the results from both, come from an engaged group of interested team members and leaders willing to identify what worked and what didn’t and what they liked about this year that they wish to rinse and repeat in the next one. Take this time to plan, but more importantly, take the time to involve those you lead in that process.
I’m Monica Wofford and that’s your Monday Moment.
See you next week for more talk on Leadership.
