Whether you share a Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, or celebrate Hanukah, or simply lights and treat eating, it’s the wish that matters and not the form of greeting, when it comes to leading.

Good morning and Happy Monday. I’m Monica Wofford and this is your Monday Moment.

Today is less about leading and more about wishing you and yours a beautiful holiday season.

From our team at Contagious Companies to yours, Merry Christmas.

Enjoy this holiday greeting in video, here.

If this isn’t a holiday you celebrate or cherish, our desire is for you to enjoy your holiday of preference to it’s fullest extent and in ways that bring you joy and contentment. And when offering a greeting to clients, colleagues, and in and around the office, the choice is not always that clear, or even your own.

As you make such decisions this year, keep in mind a few helpful bits of guidance:

  • the intent of the message matters far more than the words used to convey it
  • someone sharing happy holidays is likely trying to be respectful vs. offensive
  • Christmas and Hanukah are BOTH holidays and being offended by a wish for a good one leaves many missing the actual point of the statement
  • many also find this season to be their most difficult so allow offended reactions to simply dissipate vs. giving them fuel or energy

We truly consider you, our viewers, and all of our clients with whom we have the privilege of partnering, our greatest and most truly valuable gift of this and all seasons.

Be safe, Be well, and enjoy the season upon us.

I’m Monica Wofford and that’s your Monday Moment.
